HOW I CAN SUPPORT YOU

As we learn to walk and talk, we learn what to believe, seek out patterns, and assign meaning to things, creating a filter through which we view the world. Next thing we know our environment has informed us about how we should be, how we should look, how we should love, which may lead to living a life that doesn't feel like yours. Maybe now your hand-me down beliefs are messing with your peace. It is time to detangle the stuff that no longer serves you!

Someone once told me "worrying is like praying for what you don’t want"… and that stuck! In therapy we will better understand the way your thoughts speak to you and shape your reality. We will listen to that fear and shift the inner voice to a kinder one, helping create a mental vision board that helps you attract the life you want.

Your sessions are for you. My approach compliments what you need: traditional talk therapy, mindfulness and elements of spirituality, attachment and relational work, implementing coping skills and resources to help with emotional regulation, child-like approaches, or other interventions that resonate. All treatment goals are arrived at collaboratively and we will work together in a safe, compassionate and loving environment.

I also provide EMDR (eye movement de-sensitization and reprocessing). Much like I try to help clients feel more comfortable getting into their bodies as a way to access and inform them of their feelings, EMDR recognizes our emotional well-being is interwoven with our somatic (physical) state. EMDR helps move a memory that has been incorrectly stored and stuck to a more functional part of the brain, lessening the pain, trauma, and beliefs connected with the memory.
